Has anyone used any third party encrypton tools for SQL server and oracle. I am looking for a tool that has column level and full database level encryption. I am finding it hard to find such a product.

SQL 2005 has built in column-level encryption. SQL 2008 has built in database-level encryption (transparent database encryption)

Yes I am aware of the features that SQL provides...but I also have to research third party tools

Check Ingrian, we use for Oracle and will be implementing for SQL server.

That looks good...which project are you using? Do you find this solution good for key management?

The Ingrian appliance is a key management appliance. The appliance creates, holds, removes, and rotates the keys.
