Database Connection error

    Hi,

    I want to make a database connection using the "create new database connection" wizard. But I keep getting the error message:

    "Connection failed: SQL State: "01000" Database does not exist or access denied".

    Can anyone help me with this.

    I'm using MS SQL Server Management Studio Express 2005. What type of database connection should I create?

    I'm completely new to this, so any information on this would be appreciated.

    May be u dont have proper permission to access the database or the database might be in suspect mode or offline. Can u log into the server using ur credentials?

    Can you post the connection string thaty you are using in your application??
