Database Collation Property Missing

    I have installed SQL2000 with a default collation of 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS'. The Master, Model and Temp DB's all have this collation.

    The problem I have is that when I restore a DB that has the same collation and view the DB properties the collation name is blank.

    I have checked the collationid's in syscolumns of the restored DB and they are either the default collation or null.

    Can anyone suggest why the collation would be blank and whether this points to a potential problem with collations?

    What result do you get when you run DATABASEPROPERTYEX (Collation) ? If it shows the right collation I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've seen more cases there EM shows the wrong info or no info at all.
