Database Admin support for DB's based in japan

    Client is asking me to start providing support of DBA tasks on sql server databases located at Japan

    please tell me what kind of challenges I will have to face if I will start supporting japan

    located databases/servers on below Activities

    1.Windows server space management (due to Database backup ,data and log files)

    2.Database User account management

    3.Backup /restore of DB

    4.Patching on sql servers

    5.Database migration

    6.Import/Export

    (currently I am providing support on above DBA tasks of sql server databases of US and UK locations)

    IMHO #2 is the only one that changes somewhat. For #2 you will possibly be looking at language differences and character differences.
