Hi all -
I am writing my first report in RS '08 and I'm trying to get some logistics down to follow before moving all my old reports over from 2000.
I would like to use my database names as my data source names in my reports. My question is, can I create 50 reports and name each data source xyz and not have any conflicts when deploying them? The data source is just the server.database, correct? Or should each report have a unique name for its data source.
I am using SQL ’08. TIA for you help!

You can name the datasource the same as the database. The datasource can be shared amongst reports. if you document the naming convention, then there should be no confusion.
