Data source folder cannot be deleted

    Someone in our development team accidentally created a data source folder though build process, the data source has a wrong name called ‘data source’ with a single quote around it. We would like to delete the folder in report manager portal, but cannot   It gives an error when we click it. There is no option to delete, do not have menu when click it, I suspect it is because the single quote around it. How can we remove the folder it has nothing in it

    Check [ReportServer].[dbo].[Catalog] in the reportserver database

    Backup before & test

    You can rename the itempath with an update statement and remove it using the gui
