Data Source Connection error (SSIS)

    Hi,

    We are getting a following error while running the packages which is called from the parent package in SSIS.

    The error is

    The connection type "EXCEL" specified for connection manager "Excel Connection Manager" is not recognized as a valid connection manager type. This error is returned when an attempt is made to create a connection manager for an unknown connection type. Check the spelling in the connection type name.

    How ever each package runs successfully when we running it individually.

    We have installed the latest SP2 cumulative package also but still we are facing the same error again.

    please help us in regards to the above said error.

    Have you tried recreating the perent package?

    Are you using package configurations? Perhaps you've modified one or more of the connections and haven't propagated the changes to the configuration file?
