How do I transfer data from a pdf file to sql server table? i tried a third party s/w for conversion and it converted the pdf to a text file. But in the table(the auto creation of table), I find two of the fields are squeezed together into one field of the table and the second column only shows the null values. i think I need to format the text file by each row, which is too cumbersome
I have done comma delimited in DTS.
Any suggestions for any simpler way of migrating data from a pdf table to ss table?
Thanks

There is no way directly to do this. You need some software that can read the PDF as you used. If things didn't work out, you could search for software, but how often do you need to do this? How much data? Doing it by hand, paying a temp, etc. might be the best way.

Thanks Steve! Very nice of you for taking care of our small problems! Anyway, this is only once in a while that I come across such type of migration. I guess, I have to do the formatting by hand row by row...
