data migration

    Hi:

    I'm new in SSIS and I have a problem in transferring data from one database to another dababase within the same server. I tried to look the samples in Books On Line however it's only for flat file purposes.

    Do you have any ideas on ths please?

    Sorry... My bad. What I mean here is that how do I transfer from one databse to another database using SSIS?

    You could start with the import/export wizard and save a package if you want to move the same data again. See "Importing data, SSIS package" in BOL. Also, this is a good site with lots of "how-to" articles: http://www.sqlis.com/default.aspx?9

    I just figured out yesterday that I has an import/export wizard on it and I made it. I'm still learning on this tool. Thank you very much Greg!
