Hi all,
We are migrating to a new server, of course we are splitting out log and datafiles, but otherwise, any best practice on folder naming?
We were thinking of
D:\SQLDATA
L:\SQLLOGS
Or does it make no difference??

you can name them bob and fred if you want, makes no difference, obviously it would be best to name them in a way that identfies to which instance they belong

Be consistent, be clear, be sensible (my rules for naming standards in general)
