  Hi,

  I am having a 20GB database ..is there any way ot extract  the data by givig the required size..e.g if i want ot write in a cd or some othe small storage ..is it possible...?

  You could perhaps backup the database and then compress it with winzip or some other such tool.  I don't think you'd be able to get it down to a CD, but I believe that you then at least be able to get it on a DVD or perhaps you could use a zipping utility that would allow you to span discs the way you can do with winzip spanning floppies.

  Is there any way to take a required size of the data extracted like how its work in VCD  Cuttter..?
