Thanks for your reply.

We have few tables in a database which are updated on a regular basis. So, i was asked to do row compression and page compression on these tables. I was wondering if there is any good article/document which can help me in this process.

Have you checked Books Online??

Before just going and enabling compression check the pre reqs and restrictions as there is an overhead and sometimes a performance impact.

You need to know workload characteristics when deciding which tables to compress, please could read following article.It provides some guidelines to assist in deciding what to compress.
