DAC - Failed to connect to server

  Hey all,

  Never seen this one before. Enabled DAC and when connecting, I get a "Failed to connect to server ADMIN:SERVER\INSTANCE"; however query window shows I'm connected on ADMIN:SERVER\INSTANCE and checking tcp_endpoints + dm_exec_sessions, I'm definitely on the DAC.

  So not sure why or how this is possible? Found this article (http://www.sqldbpros.com/2013/10/error-when-trying-to-use-dac-connection-in-sql-server/) that he has the same problem, but doesn't say why this happens.

  Any thoughts?
