CU25 cant install because of SSRS

    I have a strange issue at a customer of mine that I have never seen before:

    on a SQL2017 there is a Reporting Services installed as well and it seems this one is blocking the patching of the DB service

    The version number 14.0.600.1669 is actually a version number coming from the Reporting Services that requirements should not check. It is also only preventing the update of one DB instance that seems to be the one that was present when the customer installed the SSRS.

    Seems like a bug to me. We might deinstall SSRS and install CU25 and install SSRS again in newest version. Mainly posting this here as I did not find a similar issue anywhere else.

    Try patching SSRS first, download the latest 2017 SSRS installer and run that over the top, there was something in Feb 2020 about a a release for it then so probably best to try that before uninstalling/reinstalling SSRS.
