We have a VB.NET application that runs some Crystal Reports for us. We have been running this app with no problems for about a year against SQL Server 2005.
We are now looking at SQL 2008 and when we tested this app against SQL 2008 - boom, doesnt run and produces an error saying "Logon failed, Unable to connect: incorrect logon parameters".
NOTHING has changed in the app, or the Crystal Reports - the only difference is going from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.
At present we are using the SQL Native Client on the runtime side and I am wondering if this is problem with the SQL 2008, but any clues, help or advice would be most appreciated!

Did you check to make sure you have the Surface Area Configuration (Features in 08) set correctly? It is a bit different in 2008. I had that same problem with AutoCAD.

I will pass that suggestion along and thank you very much for making it.
Do you know of any specific in Surface area config that would need tweaking?
Thanks!
