Crystal Enterprise

    Anyone worked/installed a Crystal reports Enterprise.  I am looking to get this running, and have never really worked with crystal before.  Any articles, experiences would be great.

      amuzing, am working with crystal reports v9, now and will install enterprise to serve up some reports with user-modifiable variables later. 

    if still interested, maybe we can pass info back and forth as we work. 

    (i'm not starting that portion for another week or two as i'm still finding data and writing reports...)

    We installed Crystal reports & enterprise connected to a SQL database. Our Crystal enterprise server is running on a separate server. It is working beautifully. We use enterprise to publish management reports via our intranet. The process is very simple, follow the installation documentation, it requires very little configuration because enterprise manages the web hosting and management for you. I am a non technical person and got it working the same day. The process I use is 1) Create SQL stored procedures to transform the data (summarized, grouped, subtotals etc.) 2) Link Crystal reports to the stored procedure and add drill-downs and graphs etc. 3) Publish the report with enterprise. No problems mate.

    Thanks for the replies.  I am not 100% sure when we are installing this but when we do I will let all know how it goes.

    leon@rd - cool.  glad to know it can go so smoothly.  i too am planning on putting enterprise on a separate machine than the sql db's are on.

    tom - keep us informed; i too will post my progress.
