Hi
I am using SSAS 2005 in a domain AAA and SSRS 2005 in a domain BBB.
I am not able to authenticate users across domains , SSAS uses windows authentication and since the domains are different I am not able to connect my datasources to the cube.
( I am not allowed to assign trust principles between domains..... so thats out Is there another work around ?
)
Thanks

Hi,
An option to authenticate across non-trusted domains is below.
1) The user account running ssas 2005 on domain AAA, create a local user account (it doesn't have to be a local admin) on the server on domain BBB with the same user/pass from domain AAA.
That should work. You shouldn't have to create the user accounts from domain bbb > domain aaa.
Thanks,
L

Thanks .... I started off using Http to connect the users .. and i was able to connect from domain AAA to domain BBB , which worked fine , except for I had to ensure the credentials passed were stored in Report Server and the connection was not very secure.... I also tried your method and it worked fine ...so i decided to stick with your solution coz of its simplicity... thanks for your help.
