CRITICAL - How to migrate from SQL 2005 Eval Ent edition

    Bit of a critical situation, we found that a SQL server instance was only on Enterprise Evaluation edition.

    To upgrade to the Enteprise edition is it as simple as running setup.exe from the Enterprise edition DVD and installing over the evalution edition?

    Will the existing databases attached to the server instance be affected?

    I found this on microsoft...the question is what if the evaluation had expired?

    The 180-day trial version of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition can be upgraded to the fully licensed version of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition without uninstalling the trial software prior to the end of the 180-day period.
