Creating an Index on a Replicated Table

    I have replicated certain table/column combinations from ServerA to ServerB. What happens if I create a non-clustered index on a table in ServerB? Will the replication break? I assume I will need to re-build it every so often?

    Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated.

    Depends on how you setup your replication.

    If you have the Publication set to a "drop and Create", then when ever you do a snapshot, you will lose your index. However, if you have your Publication set to do a "Delete and Insert", then you will not lose your index.
