Create SQL SERVER Jobs

  • Hi all,

One of my clients installed MS SQL Sever 2005 Express edition when another application was installed. My client asked me if I could create regular backup jobs of the database. When I connect to the MS SQL Express edition through the network (I am using MS SQL Server Standard Edition on my machine) and try to create regular backup jobs, it does not work, as there is no SQL Server Agent installed along with the MS SQL 2005 Express edition. I also checked if I could create management plans. The folder "Management" does not exist either when I expand the database node.

Is there a means to create schedule backup jobs under MS SQL server 2005 Express edition?

    Thanks for your helpful hint.

    Regards

    Niyala
