Hello,
I need to create one linked server between SQL Server 2005 and an Informix database.
We've installed the drivers and i can create the ODBC to Informix database but when creating the linked server the provider for Informix doesn't appears.
Should i install anything else so that the Informix Provider apppears? or there's any other solution that i can't remember?
Hope u can help me.
Thank and Regards,
JMSM

You need to install the OLEDB provider for Informix. I don't remember where it comes from, but I remember there's a tools CD that contains the OLEDB provider (and many other things). I'm talking about IDS9, I don't even know if there's a newer version, but it could be a start point.
Hope this helps

I did a quick search:
Informix latest version should be 11.5 (it's a long time since I last worked with it :-))
You need to install the CSDK package, that should contain the OLEDB provider. You should also set up some things on the Informix side. I think that CSDK contains a sql script that you will have to run on your Informix server.

I think you'd better start a new thread for this question.
Unfortunately that's a very little information to work on, I don't think I can help you.
