Create and run new task on win2008 and sql2008

    I have sql2008 and win 2008. New scheduled backup is not running on the task scheduler. Backup i created in bat file. It's work but I had file with 1 KB.?

    Not quite sure what you are trying to do...are you trying run a sql backup from a scheduled task ???

    No, no, ..I already have created sql backup. Now, I like to create task to make zip file with that backup. That task i call bat file. It's works on win2003, win2000

    Can't you use a program like 7Zip (Free) or the command line version of Winzip and and run this from within a sql job after the backup has run....you can then keep the processe wrapped up in one place
