hi, as of now to connect to my sql server 2000 i have to connect remotly by using remote connection, but I have seen there is a way to create an instance so then I just have to go to programs and then see enterprise manager from my computer. How do I do this, I have adminstrator rights to the sql server.
Any help will be apreciate it!

What you want to do is to install only the client tools on your computer. If you follow through the install process you will see this option. Once you have done this yuou can open up the Enterprise Manager and register servers using SQL Server or NT Authentication. This will then allow you to access any of the registered servers.
