Hi,

Index temp tables and table variable are stored in tempdb.

Less resources required for table variable as compared to index temp tables. that's it.

Did you read the article? It's not generally true to say that table variables use fewer resources than temporary tables. There are so many differences and subtleties that I think it best not to make such bold statements! 🙂
