Hi,
I am viewing the activity monitor and I see every 10-20 seconds the cpu goes from 2% to 80-90%.
I have tried to see if there are any blocks using sp_who3 (http://sqlserverplanet.com/dba/a-better-sp_who2-using-dmvs-sp_who3).
I saw a -1 spid and cant seem to find anything on google.
But the real question is, how can I track down the process that is causing the cpu processor to peak.
Sql server 2005 , 64gm memory and I see at least 31 cpu proccessors on it.
Thanks!

Did you tried tracking it down to what that spid was actually doing using DMV's or any other traces? Did you already tried that and found nothing useful?
Go through this post from Paul...Hope this helps.
