  Hi,

  We need to add additional CPU to the sqlserver host.
  Where can we find MSSQL licensing fees for this requirement.

  It depends on the type of SQL Licensing you are currently using. If you are using CAL-based then you should not worry about licensing adding new cpu but if you are on core-based then it works on how many cpu's your VM currently has. If the total is 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 then you would need 2 SKU's because each SKU covers 2 cpu's and as per Microsoft you need a minimum of 4 CPU licenses even if your VM is using less than 4 cpu's. If the number of CPU's are more than 4 then the licensing increments by 2 which means for 6 cpu's you would need 2 licenses (3 SKU's).

  Best person to speak to his your software vendor. They will be able to give you a much better cost analysis.
