Could not manually start SQL job

    Guys,

    I have a problem.  This just started this morning.  SQL Mail is not starting. If i tried stopping it, it says "Failed to stop SQL Mail session". 

    Right now, when i manually create a job and manually start it won't start at all. The jobs that are created before today is running fine(the ones that are recurring).

    Can you please help me out on this problem?  My guess there's a problem with SQL Mail and that is affecting SQL Agent?  Maybe I should restart SQL Agent to fix this problem?

    I fixed the problem.  After digging into the problem, i found out that SQL Server agent is having problem connecting to the DB and there's alot of error regarding SQL Mail.  I think SQL Mail was partly causing the hang-up of SQL Server Agent and just restarting the SQL Server Agent service fixed the problem.  Thanks all!
