Hello everybody,
Could I have an instance sql 2000 and sql 2005 in the same server?,
What should I consider?
Thanks a lot,

Yes you can. Only one of them can be installed as the default instance. The other has to be installed as a named instance.

You should install SQL2000 prior to SQL2005. We did some work in SQL2005 to ensure that when one of the other is uninstalled none of the DLL registration is broken - however this only works if SQL2005 was installed post-SQL2000.

Another thing to consider...
If you install the Management Studio (formerly Enterprise Manager) on your desktop box, in most cases Enterprise Manager will no longer open. I found documentation about why on Microsoft's web page once, but I don't remember off hand...I think 2005 replaces a .dll that Enterprise Manager needs or something.
You can do everything in Management Studio that Enterprise Manager can do, just something to be aware of. Also, I think Management Studion only works on 2000 and 2005, not on 7.0.

You must be very new in Microsoft SQL Database Administration.
