I detached a database and when I tried to re-attach, I got an error saying it is not a valid database file. How can I recover the database from this file. Thanks.

I am not sure what to do beside looking for the latest backup file.

check the data and log file path and database name that you want re-attach database.

can you post the T-SQL script you use when trying to re-attach?

Thanks all. I have resolved the problem by using sp_attach_db to re-attach instead of using EM.
