hello
I copy database from one server to another server.
my source database size is 350 MB. when i am done with copy database from copy wizard, the destination database size is 950 MB.
i am wonder why there is huge difference in size?

Try doing a backup and then a restore instead of the copy db wizard. I have never used it and didn't even realize it was an option until just now. 😉

so can you give me backup t-sql
because i have to backup from allg-ad1-dc server
and when i try to take backup it throws error

this is command that i am using
backup database sasixp
to
disk ='\\10.15.1.40\d$\sasixp.bak'
i need to store on 10.15.1.40 server
this is error
Msg 911, Level 16, State 11, Line 1
Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'sasixp'. No entry found with that name. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

The database name you put in isn't there. Either there's a typo or you're on a case sensitive install. Try putting the name in exactly as it appears in SQL Server Management Studio.
