Converting Crystal Reports to Reporting Services

    We are currently looking at implementing an enterprise reporting solution and have come up with a short list of Crystal Enterprise and MS Report Services with Panorama.

    I would like to hear from anyone who is going through this process and also hear their thoughts on converting reports from Crystal to Reporting Services and the pros and cons.

    I can give you our experiance in converting reports from CR to MSRS:  It has been simple.  The longest part is usually setting up and configuring the MSRS server.  We have one person convert the CR reports to MRSR reports (RDL), and our most complicated report so far (a report with 5 linked subreports) only took her only 4 hours to make a nearly identical copy.  She had no previous experiance with Visual Studio or MSRS, but was well versed in CR.

    We are much happier with MSRS.
