Continuation of: Execution Plans not the same

  • GSquared, SSCrazy,

There is no need for me to carry this Post any further. The reason for this is because your last suggestion was the solution I was looking for.

For over 3 years our nightly ETL process we run to load our Datawarehouse used to take 3:45 to 4 hours. Never less than 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Your new query, which by the way has been "pushed" into Production, now makes our ETL job run in just under an hour.

    You are amazing. Truly amazing.

With no data that returned any rows you still managed to come up with a query that runs in 2 seconds.

I take my hat off to you and bow to you.

Thank you so very much for taking the time you dedicated to this POST.

  • You're very welcome. Glad I could help. It was fun digging into this one. 🙂
