    Dear fellow DBA's,

    in today's market, what's the average (per-hour) consulting price? (for a senior DBA - few weeks project)

    I take it you mean in the USA ? I can't tell you that because i'm in the UK, but i'd imagine it will also depend on your location, judging by a recent topic on what people earn on this forum.

    Bond007's right depends on the location. I recently saw a contract job for a Senior DBA in London, £500 an day.

    Based on the data at http://www.realrates.com, I would say the going rate is $60 - $65 per hour. Of course, if you are an IC and setting up the engagement yourself, I would double those numbers.
