what are consolidated servers means?
can some one plz explain briefly

To consolidate Servers is an exercise where you decommission Database Servers and move the databases to the consolidated Server.
You save on operating and licensing cost, etc.

you mean moving databases from diff servers to single large one?

It means you merge multiple servers into a single one. That way you don't have to pay extra licenses and all the costs to maintain the extra servers.

Say for example, you have 10 dbs spread across 10 servers (1 on each). A consolidated server could mean all 10 of these dbs sit on the same server. Therefore saving the resources of the other 9 servers.

Theoretically that is correct but you have to make sure the Server that you are consolidating to can handle the load.
