Hi, I'm encountering some connectivity issues and wondered if you would be able to assist.
An AD group has been successfully added to a SQL2008 server AD\SQL2008.
Members of the group are unable to access sql server, UNLESS the administrative rights are added to the group.
Singular accounts Eg AD\JOEDOE work fine (In or out of an Admin group).
When i go into user mapping the following error is shown if i try to add the group to a default schema.
"THE DEFAULT SCHEMA CLAUSE CANNOT BE USED WITH A WINDOWS GROUP OR WITH PRINCIPALS MAPPED TO CERTIFICATES OR ASYMMETRIC KEYS (Error 15259).
Any assistance would be most appreciated.

The error message seems to be pretty clear to me. You need to add the Login to the database without assigning a default schema. I'm not sure why they would have changed that from 2005 to 2008 but it appears that they did since you don't get that error in 2005.
