I have a problem with ProjectServer trying to connenct with Sql Server 2000.
My server is SUN AMD Opteron Processor (2), 2.93 Ghz, 4 Gb Ram, Win 2003 Standard x64 Sp1, ans Sql Server Enterprise, Ver 8.00.760.
Users are on a different domain, (different place) than my database and Application server.
When a user is trying to open a project an error appears:
Connection Failed
Sql State '01000'
Sql Server Eror 53
[Microsoft] [ODBC Sql Server Driver] [DBNETLIB] [Connectio Open][Connect[]]
Connection Failed
Sql State '08001'
Sql Server Error 17
[Microsoft] [ODBC Sql Server Driver] [DBNETLIB] [Sql Server not exist or access denied]
I need some advice to fix it

Is the service started?
Does the user has permissions to access the server?
What authentication mode are you using??
Can the user see the server (pinging)?

Service is running.
User has access to the server, well it logins using ProjectServer User.
Authentification mode is mixed.
user can´t see the server using commnd ping, telecom has created a static link to see the server.
Actually windows is 2003 64 bits and Sql Server is running on 32 bits version, is it possible, to work both together or I ned to move my Sql to 64 bits version?.
