Hi,
I'm writing a web service to be consumed by a Silverlight proj.
I'm getting the error above even though I can connect to the server and database through SQL Server Studio 2005. This seems to me to be a networking error unless someone can answer this on this forum?
I appreciate that this is brief. Please ask for more details.

Have you verified that Named Pipes is enabled on the SQL Server using SQL Server Configuration Manager? You may need to force it to use TCP. See this post.
