Connecting to mof in command prompt for Report Configuration

    Is it because I run Window 8.1 on Mac using Parallel Window ?????

    Hi

    I finally get into Program Files(x86) and sqlmgmprovider.mof. Just after that line, it then opens in terminal on Mac(I was using win 8.1 with parallel on mac) and this was popped up saying this. What is going on there? and how should I proceed further? Your help is really appreciated.

    Hi Guys,

    Please help.

    I still cannot connect to SQL config Report Server. The 0x80041010 error still persists.

    I have already tried several methods.

    Following are what I have done:

    1)WMIDig-detected issues that prevent WMI properly working

    2)mofcomp sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof inside cmd prompt

    3)Rebuilding WMI Repository-checked the corruption and consistency-all are fine

    4)Make sure sqlmof file is inside corrected directory

    5)Make sure framedyn.ddl is inside C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem

    6)sic /SCANNOW-using System file checker tool to repair missing or corrupted files-2nd time already

    7)Authorised WMI users and set permissions

    But still I can't connect to SQL Server Config Manager.

    Reporting Services is failing to start. I would suggest looking at your event logs, which will give you further details. You can post the error here if it doesn't give you the answer, but without it, the reasons are endless.

    This morning I've checked and the root of the error must be in configuration, I guess. The report server has encountered a configuration error. I checked inside event viewers too, I suspect another reason is because of WMI? I am not sure.

    I tried some workaround for server not responding in timely fashion. Configured Firewall. Changed Service Pipe Timeout to decimal:180000 too. Nothing happened.

    Those are you SQL server logs, not your event logs. Please supply the error message received from attempting to start Reporting Services.

    These are you SQL server logs. You need to provide the errors from your Event Viewer. Right Click Computer -> Manage -> Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> [Find the relevent logs for when try and fail to start SSRS]

    Hi Thom,

    This is the error details(relevant one with my SQL reporting server issue) from Event Viewer.

    Service cannot be started. Default appdomain failed to initialize at Microsoft.ReportingServices.Library.ServiceAppDomainController...

    Modified the binary in Service Pipe TimeOut to 60000. Rebooted. But no luck.

    Configured Firewall(added new inbound rule of TCP on Port 80). No luck as well.

    If your error is what I think it's saying, it could be implying that one, or more, of the underlying configuration files is invalid. Considering you've been attempting to edit one of these previously in the thread, It seems that this could well of broken your SSRS install. did you make any changed to the configuration files? If so, I would suggest checking them over to ensure they are valid. If you are sure, I would suggest restoring the originals (keep your still, just somewhere else), and seeing if SSRS starts then. if it does, then you'll need to revisit your changes,
