Connecting SSIS 2008 to Sharepoint 2010 authentication - connection issues

  • Hello,

I'm trying to connect SSIS 2008 (SQL Server 2008 R2) to SharePoint 2010 at the client I'm at.

    I did the following steps:

    Downloaded the SharePoint adapters,

    Set up the connection manager,

    Start the source data flow,

    Enter the URL and list

I constantly get this error message.

Error at Data Flow Task [SharePoint List [1]]: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Ntlm'. The authentication header received from the server was 'NTLM'. ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the adapters, multiple times.

    Questions.

Area there any compatibility issues with SSIS 2008 with SharePoint 2010?

Where do I find what authentication (NTLM) is being passed from the SharePoint / SSIS back to SQL Server and HTTP?

If anyone else has run into this, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Neal

  • Hello,

I know this is an old post, but had anyone find a solution or workaround for this issue ?  I'm getting the exact error as above for my SSIS 2019 to SharePoint 2013.

I did install/uninstall Sharepoint Extension, but still same error.

    Any help is appreciate.

    Regards
