Connect to other Server types other than DB Engine

    Hello everyone,

    I just installed a SQL Server 2008 R2 (10.50.2550.0) with SP1 integrated.

    On my local pc I have SSIS and SSRS installed as well. Yet, when I try to connect to a SSRS or SSIS server from SQL Server Management Studio 2008, I only have the option of logging on to "Database Engine" or "SQL Server Compact".

    What do I have to do to connect to other Server types?

    Did you install Express Edition?

    Yes, that was the problem. IT Support installed SSMS and must have got it wrong!
