  Is that possible to connect Oracle database from SQL Server 2005 Management studio or from any other SQL server tool?

  I went through this oh so fun exercise not all that long ago (http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic830172-1042-4.aspx#bm846351).

  Basically ...

  - Install the Oracle Client (you only need the OLE DB component)

  - Set your tnsnames appropriately

  - You can now connect via SSMS with a linked server
