I've been monitoring one of our production servers and have not been able to get a full grasp on the average wait time counter under perf mon. I know it is in milliseconds, and there are 100 milliseconds in one second. But, I set up perf mon to grab this info in 15 second intervals and the numbers show up to a 10 second average wait time. This throws me off...especially because the intervals a few seconds both before and after that one did not show any wait time.
Here are some numbers...

Is anyone able to explain this better for me / have any suggestions?
Thanks!

There are 1000 milliseconds in a second, but even with that, it looks odd. How many CPUs do you have?
Are these lock waits? What's the full object and counter name?
