Hi
We currently have a SQL2014 environment with 2 on premise and one DR server in another state - all connected via High Availability.
Looking towards the future - I'm looking for a way to eliminate or improve our DR site that is in another state. After upgrading to SQL2019 would it then be possible to use containers to replace my remote DR server? Are there cloud options I could use that the container would be updated automatically via H/A but only used if all other servers fail? I assume that would be fairly inexpensive because it isn't being used as much (only data syncs)? Trying to avoid the expense of rack DR server.
Do I have new DR options? Does it make sense to even think about containers (never used them before)?
