Hi, I have installed reporting services. Each time I click: "Report Server Virtual Directory", "Report Manager" "Virtual Directory" or "Web Service Identity" in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager I get the following error:
"An error occurred while enumerating the websites on "SERVER1". If "SERVER1" is a remote server, try changing the firewall settings in the operating system to allow the enumeration. The exception details are: Library not registered.
After this I cannot change any settings under these configuration items.
The servers I have tried installing are running Windows xp SP2 x32.
I have tried changing service accounts, reinstalling IIS, reinstalling Reporting Services, changing website permissions and IIS configuration but I keep getting this same error.
The server is not a remote server nor is there a firewall present. As the error states there is a unregistered library but I don't know which one.
Thanks in advance.
🙂

Not sure if this is what is causing the issue or what order you installed and setup IIS and .NET, but you might want to make sure that you have registered the framework with IIS properly have you installed IIS.
Registering ASP.NET on IIS after installing the .NET Framework
Assuming you are trying to install SSRS 2005. Just an FYI, SSRS 2008 does not require IIS anymore:)

Is everything being installed standalone on the XP workstation? Are you trying to install SSRS 2005? Is there a reason why you just wouldn't go with SSRS 2008 at this point which does not require IIS?
If you have ASP.NET properly registered with IIS and have installed SQL Server and SSRS 2005 I don't see what your problem is. Have you looked at the SSRS logs to see if there is any additional detail within them?
Have you tried to access the report manager or report server URL at all (http://[servername]/reports and http://[servername]/reportserver)?

Hi Matrix,
Thanks for the reply. Everything is installed alone in XP stand alone system. .net is working fine. IIS is working fine. I am able to run the reports even. My company is using only SSRS 2005. Forget abt 2008.
