Our internal server guy is pushing back on allowing sql server service accounts as administrators on the sql box. I used a separate service account for sql server, agent, ssas, ssrs, and sped(poly). What are your thoughts on having sql service accounts as local admins on the server. Everywhere I’ve been has had them as local admins.

The separate accounts is great but you shouldn't add them all as local admins, it's not a recommended practice. Let the install and Configuration Manager handle the permissions.
