hi guys i am trying to start sending emails from sql server 2000, i don't have exchange server yet. I read this article from microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/263556
this is my first question, i am sure throughout the configuration i will have more questions.......
Do i have to instal microsoft outlook 2003 in my sql server box?

If this is SQL 2000, Outlook 2000 should work as well.

When my company merged with another company, the other company was using the basic Outlook client for email messages. On my side we used stored procedures. Refer to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;312839&sd=tech.
