Configure Publisher and Distributor.

    Hi All 🙂

    I try to use transactional replication and push subscription and I have question here:

    Does SQL-SERVER7/2000 allow Publiser, distributor sitting on different database server? If so how could I configure it.

    Yes they can be on different database servers. Take a look at this link to determine what version each server needs to be on. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/replsql/replimpl_4joy.asp

    To set up the database to be replicated, in EM right click on the server and click on properties. Under the configuration tab, there is a configure tab. The first time doing this, you will be asked to select the distribution server. Otherwise, you can select what databases will be used for replication. I hope I have answered your question.
