I am trying to completely uninstall sql server 2008 from my computer.
i removed all files from control panel,
removed directories but its still there

If you ran uninstall from the Control Panel, then the services should be gone, and the binaries removed. However the logs, database files, etc. are not necessarily deleted. You'll have to do that yourself.
However you'll have to explain what "it's still there" means.
