Hi,
I am having trouble with the following error. I have Backup Jobs that I am trying to run manually from the Agent on a 2005 dB that is failing. All of my system db's have compat level 90 and the db that I am running the job on also is on compat level 90. I do, though, have one dB unrelated to the Job on the server that has compat level 70.
The Jobs run to completion when they are invoked on their normal schedule automatically by the system.
Also, I have another server with the same setup and dB's that I am able to run the Jobs manually without any issue.
Is there anything else I should be looking at other then compat level's of dB's?
Message: Incorrect syntax near 'collate'. You may need to set the compatibility level of the current database to a higher value to enable this feature. See help for the stored procedure sp_dbcmptlevel.

Is it a backup job from a maintenance plan or script? Can you provide the script you are trying to execute?
