Clustered columnstore or nonclustered columnstore?
Nonclustered columnstore indexes still make the table read-only in SQL 2014. You can do tricks with switching partitions in to the table with the columnstore if it's partitioned. Otherwise you'll have to drop/disable the index first.
Clustered columnstores are read-write.
